Book List

This is a fantastic reading list that inspired me to eat healthier, learn to garden, and live a happier more fulfilled life. You will find that some books may contradict other books. This is because no ones journey is the same, and it is just that  - a journey. I didn't wake up one morning and decided that I was going to go from eating Chick-Fil-A to a no carb lectin free diet. My habits, choices, and depth of educational detail changed and evolved over time. There is always more to learn, the day you stop learning is the day you stop living. As such this will be an ever growing list. I hope they help you as much as they helped me on my journey to health, wealth, and happiness!

Recommended Products

I have compiled a list of products that I personally use in my urban backyard garden and for my small scale commercial farm. Many of my methods are low cost DIY stuff that I teach and therefore you would not need to purchase pre-made items but some people do not have the time or choose to learn it and would rather buy the products already prepared. Sometimes it is just plain cheaper to buy it than do it yourself or it is not feasible to make it yourself. Regardless this can be a starting point for your next garden project with suggestions for growing medium, fertilizers & amendments, composting essentials, etc.

Local Business'

If you live in the St. Petersburg area or Pinellas County here is a list of awesome small business owners that I have worked with in the past. They offer premium products and services at fair pricing. Remember you have the ability to vote with every dollar you spend,  according to Civic Economics, “on average, 48% of each purchase at local independent businesses is recirculated locally, compared to less than 14% of purchases at chain stores.”

Taking charge of your health

After reading about how much toxicity we are all exposed to on a regular basis I knew I needed to change what I could. This started with my food but quickly grew to encompass things I put on/in my body (shampoo, medicine, etc) and used around the home (air freshener, bathroom cleaner, etc). A friend, yoga teacher, and massage therapist taught me about using essential oils and I have never looked back. They give you control over what you are exposed to and solve an endless number of problems in an affordable and easy to use way. If you would like to learn more about how you can take control of your health and home environment please give me a call or shoot me an email.
